Around Etty Bay

Etty Bay is a favourite weekend destination for local residents for a many reasons. The beach itself is more protected than most and the large trees offer share and character; the sand is largely shell free and easy walking; the swimming enclosure with stinger nets provides protection during the 'stinger season' and there are good public BBQ facilities. Cassowaries wander freely and can be seen on most days. Weekends can be busy and the van park is popular with visitors in the cooler months but at other times it is very quiet.
